John Cleese on Creativity

John Cleese – actor, comedian and writer – gave this illuminating lecture at Video Arts on How our brains approach creativity. In it he talks about the importance of navigating your brain’s ‘open’ and ‘closed’ modes, and wrestling gently but persistently with the creative task in hand knowing that soon enough your subconscious mind will churn out the goods.

The video is old and not of great quality, but the wisdom is sound and well worth checking out.
